RSL Community Award Presented to Two FPS Students
Year 6 students, Astrid Proctor and Hugo Byron were recognised by the Darebin RSL for their great work on their Armed Forces research project—started at the beginning of the year—and for their continued efforts in learning.
At a ceremony at the RSL, Astrid and Hugo received their Community Award; their families were there to proudly support them. Congratulations and well done to Astrid and Hugo!
Library Books Due Back
Students with overdue library books will have been asked by their teacher to return the books by Friday 9 December. A letter will go home on Monday 12 December if the books have not been returned. Any lost books may be paid for at the school office, the cost will be listed on the overdue letter.

Enrol in the 2017 Fairfield After School Music Program
Want to learn (or continue learning) the guitar, recorder, flute, violin or saxophone? Lessons will be offered after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in 2017. Please complete the enrolment form and return it to the school office by Friday 16 December. Alternatively, you may email to the address listed on the form.

Lock up Bikes, Scooters and Helmets
A reminder to all families to please lock up their bikes, scooters and helmets at the bike shed. A bike that had been left over the weekend, which was not locked up, was taken. We encourage all families to take preventative measures and secure your belongings.
School Banking—Finished for 2016
As a reminder to all families who participate in the Bendigo Bank and Commonwealth Bank savings programs, school banking has concluded for the year. We look forward to seeing lots bank books again when school resumes next year.
