A Fair to Remember

Fairfield Primary School’s much-anticipated annual Fair to Remember brings together members of the Fairfield Primary School and wider communities in a celebration of our wonderful school. This dual-purpose event helps to build and strengthen community links, while also raising valuable funds for the continued enhancement of our learning resources and facilities, to benefit our students. Our Fair is entirely volunteer driven, under the management of a dedicated event committee comprised entirely of conscientious parents who work tirelessly to ensure the event is both successful and enjoyable for everyone involved. Each year, support from our school community has ensured that A Fair to Remember successfully enriches our school spirit and raises funds to ensure the ongoing development of our school. All funds raised are used to support projects that benefit the whole school.

Each year, the Community Committee convene a Fair Committee to organise the event for the following year. The Fair Committee oversee all aspects of Fair organisation and are supported by many other parents who participate in setting up and convening stalls. Our Fair is a whole school community event, which recognises that everyone has something to contribute— time, baking skills, craft skills, prize donations, business contacts to sponsor the fair or assist in obtaining wholesale goods, etc.

Our fair provides an opportunity for our community to build and reinforce friendships, while utilising their broad interests and skill base in working toward a common goal. Feedback from parents over the years tells us that becoming involved is very rewarding and can lead to life-long friendships.
