Well it’s the morning after and the hall has an aroma of stale cheese and warm dips… proof that it’s been a good night.

We knew it was going to be a good night when Quizmaster Tony Moclair took to the stage with his opening gag taking the micky out of a slight technical glitch… it was the first of many a good laugh and Tony’s knowledge on the subject floored us all.

Highlights

  • Jimmy Antonopoulos’ Pink Floyd solo (David Gilmour would have been proud), accompanied by the infamous bass riff coolly played by Scott Shaw
  • Ash Naylor’s glorious tribute to David Bowie and Prince
  • Rick Swaney’s belting rendition of a Simple Minds classic
  • Geoff Reany proved you can be Stayin’ Alive without the jumpsuit
  • Peter Kennedy’s dulcet Kermit tones
  • Paul Mameghan’s classical violin diddies that had everyone guessing
  • Atty Heale proving that girls just want to have fun
  • Ursula & Jed put the torch and twang into a Cash & Carter hit
  • Keri Spence, Atty Heale and Ursula Wood lifted love where it belongs
  • And last but definitely not least the amazing sound of the Moreland City Soul Revue… FPS Hall did not know what had hit it.

It was a cracking night and great to see just under 200 people rockin’ along to some kicking tunes.
