It has been a wonderful term overall and it is hard to believe that we halfway through the year. Once again, so much dedication, planning and commitment has been in place from staff, students and parents.  We have achieved a great deal and some of the highlights across the school have been the onset of winter sport, Kaan’s Winya, our new portable in use, a senior school concert, Powerful Learning project, class learning earning exhibitions and many engaging learning experiences for every child.

The growth and development of our students has been profound and they have all contributed to the formation of productive and positive class communities. In this newsletter, the students across the teams have presented their reflections. This is a large body of text but the children wanted to have their say, so parents, please enjoy the reading.

Staffing

I would like to share some staffing changes for next term.

  • The school wishes Brendan Nick well as he embarks on his writing adventure next semester. We welcome Ginger Moyle to the staff as she replaces Brendan as 3/4F’s teacher.
  • As you are aware  Keri Spence commencing family leave at the end of the term. We wish her and Geoff McShane all the best for the arrival of “Baby McSpence”. The school now welcomes Elise Winterflood as Performing Arts teacher next term. Elise is a performing musician (another fine musician for our community) and is looking forward to being part of our school community.
  • We are also welcoming Phoebe Rose who will  be teaching French for a some classes next term.

I hope every student, every family and every staff member has a restful and replenishing break. On our return, we can look forward to moving through Winter and into Spring, the time for regeneration and new growth….enjoy.
