House Athletics Carnival

This week was the much anticipated House Athletics Carnival for our Grade 3-6 students. The day was an outstanding success. Well done to the students for your participation, enthusiasm and support for each other. It was a remarkable day with many success stories, including  students who placed in events,  those that achieved personal bests and everyone who earned points for their house. The house points have not yet finished as the high jump competition will be sports1run at school in the next few weeks.

The current points standing is:

  • Darebin – 544
  • Diamond – 525
  • Merri – 557
  • Yarra – 528

But it is not over yet.

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped out with the running of events. These days are not possible without your assistance. Your involvement makes the day much more rewarding for the students. It is truly appreciated.

District Cross Country

The Northcote District Cross Country Carnival is on next Wednesday, 25th May at Oulton Reserve. Parents of students competing in this event have been notified. This is a new track to previous years as the aim is to make the race open to spectators and students. A map of the track has been sent home with students for families to practise. As always we will require marshals on the course to help direct students in the right direction. If your child is attending this event and you are able to assist with marshalling please let Geoff McShane know either before the event or on the day.
